Our Story …

Hey everyone,

Tamara and my Citroen 2CV and myself are participating in the Box Rally to openly support cancer research and support for cancer sufferers and those around them impacted by cancer.

We have been affected by it.

A personal acknowledgment of the individual journeys made by both our mums and dads and our respective families.

Help support us to raise money for a very worthwhile cause. Charities need support at the moment after a year of missed fund-raising opportunities, and we are happy and proud to be out there doing out bit!

James

Here's what I'm doing …

Cancer Cruise is a new initiative from Box Rallies who are behind Shitbox Rally and Mystery Box Rally. Box Rallies has raised over $39 million dollars in the past 13 years, for cancer research, which makes Box Rallies and those that participate in our projects the largest community-based fundraisers for Cancer Council nationally.

Cancer Cruise is a family day out for participants in their Shitbox, Mystery Box or other favourite vehicles.

The cruise is not a race – it’s a fun, easy going drive to lunch, where teams will be able to socialise with each other, talk about the rallies and why they are fundraising for cancer research, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.

The Impact, Outcomes & Charity

Cancer Cruise is a dedicated fundraising event for cancer research with funds going to Cancer Council.

Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.

Thanks to the community funds raised such as Cancer Cruise we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.

$41 million over the past 13 years has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:

  • A research study to develop a vaccine that protects against lymphoma cancers.
  • A research trial to standardise international guidelines on melanoma removal.
  • A research grant to revolutionise the treatment of pancreatic cancer.

These projects wouldn’t be possible without your support.
