Our Story …
I lost mum to cancer in 2006 and through work have watched the impact of cancer on my clients and their families. It is an insipid disease and there are great people doing amazing work at the Cancer Council to support research, those fighting the battle and their families and ultimately trying to find a cure. I do some pro-bono work for the fighters and it never ceases to amaze me the strength that they have . Just as inspiring is the research awards and hearing about the progress and difference research has made. When my mum was first diagnosed with breast cancer in the 80's, her survival chance was 50% - today it is 99%.
Please help me raise vital funds to support this research so that the future prognosis is even better for those still to be diagnosed.
Here's what I'm doing …
Cancer Cruise is a new initiative from Box Rallies who are behind Shitbox Rally and Mystery Box Rally. Box Rallies has raised over $39 million dollars in the past 13 years, for cancer research, which makes Box Rallies and those that participate in our projects the largest community-based fundraisers for Cancer Council nationally.
Cancer Cruise is a family day out for participants in their Shitbox, Mystery Box or other favourite vehicles.
The cruise is not a race – it’s a fun, easy going drive to lunch, where teams will be able to socialise with each other, talk about the rallies and why they are fundraising for cancer research, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.

Cancer Cruise is a dedicated fundraising event for cancer research with funds going to Cancer Council.
Cancer Council is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia. We conduct and fund research studies across all cancers and all stages of the cancer journey.
Thanks to the community funds raised such as Cancer Cruise we can fund world-class research that reduces the impact of cancer for everyone.
$41 million over the past 13 years has been raised by Box Rallies to date, supporting ground-breaking projects such as:
- A research study to develop a vaccine that protects against lymphoma cancers.
- A research trial to standardise international guidelines on melanoma removal.
- A research grant to revolutionise the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
